Ten years ago today was the worst day of my life. On October 5, 2001, my mother lost her battle with leukemia after being diagnosed just two months earlier with this disease. To this day, I am still not comfortable with this subject. This post will be short.
I would like to ask you to consider making a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Donations can be send to:
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Maryland Chapter
100 Painters Mill Road Suite 800
Owings Mills, MD 21117
Donations can also be made via telephone by calling (888) 557-7177 between 8A – 8P EST. Donations can also be made by clicking here.
Nearly 500,000 people have been diagnosed with leukemia and other blood cancers since 2000.
Thank you for your consideration!

Greg,
My sadness for you and my encouragement for people to give. I’ve lived for 4 years with non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, a blood cancer that also killed our colleague Howard Mills. Everyone knows pink; few know bright green for these cancers.
May your mother’s memory be a blessing and spur others to action.
Joan
